Dr Hans Marcel Brand was a member of the scientific committee of the magazine SPC (Soap, Perfumery & Cosmetics) and a respected member of the IFSCC. Dr Brand has many publications to his name and was a much sought after speaker at international conferences and seminars. In addition, he provided cosmetics training at an academic level. Dr Brand's specialities are oleo chemistry, natural waxes, rheology & rheological additives. He had a wide range in the organic chemistry of products, in the formulation of cosmeceutic products, including clinical testing, consumer safety, claim substantiation and functional evidence in personal care and cosmetic products.
